Capljina - Camp Tasovcici/Art Workshops, April 2006
It seemed like a good idea to offer art workshops in the camp to the older teenagers and the women who have little to fill their days and spend a lot of time just sitting around drinking coffee. We took sophisticated materials for calligraphy, card-making, glass painting etc but we were in for a surprise. Althought we had sent messages in advance, when the first students arrived they were all PRE-SCHOOL! ... lots of them with eager mothers crowding the doorway to the hall. We coped! Later we did involve the older children and the art workshops were deemed a great success with some people still enjoying glass painting and card making nearly a year later.
