NEWS FOR URGENT ACTION! 16 February 2010

We are so nearly ready to send our lorry-load of aid to Mostar ... aiming for this Easter ... but we still need help as follows: - we are fundraising for fuel for the lorry but any donations towards this would be SO MUCH appreciated. See - how to donate. - we have had more requests for specific things so IF ANYONE CAN HELP, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH. The things requested that involve the Police, Fire Service and Red Cross are as follows: NEW ITEMS - ANY EQUIPMENT FOR FIREMEN: CLOTHING, BOOTS, HELMETS, TOOLS, ALL OR ANY WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. SAME FOR POLICE. ANYTHING FOR RESCUE TEAMS - WATER, ACCIDENTS, MOUNTAINS. ANY RED CROSS EQUIPMENT FOR EMERGENCIES, TRAINING ETC. (The whole Mostar fire department has a total of 3 complete outfits for the firemen!) Also needed: BLANKETS, SHEETS, TWIN FITTED SHEETS, VINYL MATTRESS COVERS TO PROTECT MATTRESSES AND MATTRESS PADS TO GO WITH EACH VINYL COVER. WASHABLE PADS TO PLACE UNDER PATIENTS IN BED.
